commentブリッジ式のテンプ受けが印象的な10振動／秒（36,000振動/時）のCal.4520Aを搭載。45GSと言えば、8000番ケースがセイコースタイルとして有名ですが、この曲線を活かした卵型のケースデザインも、今なお色褪せないデザインです。グランドセイコーですから、機械には個体番号が刻まれ、秒針規制（ハック機能）を搭載し、精密調整が可能な微動緩急装置・アオリ調整装置も搭載。精度を追求していたことが伺い知れます。石数も手巻の標準的な17石より多く、耐摩耗性に優れています。アンティークのグランドセイコーの中でも45GSは45GS VFAまで発展。10振動という高振動があったからこそ、発展したのだと推測できます。
